Preferences, scores, progress and saved creations stay on your device. Pictures of creations are made from game artwork; the app does not access your camera or personal photo library. We cannot access these files. You can remove the app’s stored data by clearing its data or uninstalling it.

Children’s privacy

Children can play without providing personal information. The app has no messaging, public sharing or advertising services. Parents and carers can contact us with privacy questions.

Emotion Mixer Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Emotion Mixer is published by Disobedient Robot Shop, operating in the Netherlands. For privacy questions, contact hello@disobedientrobots.com.

Using the app

Emotion Mixer is a tool for creators that lets you explore emotions, blend feelings, create Emotion Palettes and browse an Emotion Dictionary. These tools work offline and do not require an account or website login.

The app does not include advertising, analytics, tracking technologies or a developer-operated service that receives your palettes, emotion selections, searches or usage history. We do not receive this information through your ordinary use of the app.

Information stored on your device

Emotion Mixer stores information locally so you can continue your work and revisit saved palettes. This includes:

– Your current palette and Blender selections, palette relationships and proportions.
– Draft information, including your most recent Dictionary search.
– Saved palettes, their project names, creation and modification dates, editable settings and generated images.
– Preferences, such as whether you have dismissed a tool introduction.

This information is used to provide the app’s features. It is stored in the app’s own storage area, which Android normally separates from other apps. Emotion Mixer does not provide its own online account, cloud storage or synchronisation service.

Saving and sharing images

When you save a palette as a PNG, you choose its destination using your device’s file picker. Depending on the destination you select, the image may be saved on your device or through a connected storage provider.

When you share an image, your device lets you choose the receiving app or service. The image and its filename are made available to the destination you select. Exported and shared images may include your project name and selected emotions, so please check their contents before sharing.

The app creates temporary image files to support saving and sharing. Your device may remove these cached files over time, and you can clear them through your device’s app settings. Files received by another app or service are handled under that provider’s privacy policy.

Backup and device transfer

Depending on your device version, device manufacturer and backup settings, it may include Emotion Mixer’s locally stored information in system backups or transfer it when you move to another device. These processes are managed by Android and your selected backup provider. We do not receive or control those backups.

You can review available backup and restore options in your device settings.

Retention and deletion

Saved palettes remain in the app until you delete them or remove the app’s stored data. Drafts and preferences remain until they are replaced or the app’s stored data is cleared.

You can delete individual palettes from My Saved Emotions. To remove the app’s locally stored palettes, drafts and preferences together, use your device’s “Clear storage” or “Clear data” option for Emotion Mixer, or uninstall the app.

Deleting a palette or uninstalling the app does not delete images you have already exported, copies shared with other apps or people, or copies held in system backups. You need to manage those copies separately. Your device may restore previously backed-up information if you reinstall the app or restore a device.

App stores and external websites

App Stores (such as Google Play and Apple) handle the app’s purchase and download process under their own terms and privacy policy. Emotion Mixer does not request or store your payment-card details.

If you follow a website link from the app, information is handled according to that website’s privacy policy. Using the offline app does not sign you in to the Emotion Mixer website.
